Contaminant Remediation
Remove hazardous surface contaminants safely β without spreading the problem.
About This Service
What Is Contaminant Remediation?
Surface contamination with lead paint, PCBs, radioactive particles, chemical residues, or biological agents demands a removal method that doesn't create new hazards in the process. Wet methods spread contamination. Abrasive blasting aerosolizes particles and creates secondary waste streams that require their own disposal.
Dry ice blasting lifts surface contaminants without adding water or abrasive media. The COβ sublimates, leaving only the removed contaminant β which is contained at the source. Combined with proper containment and HEPA filtration, it's the preferred method for hazardous surface remediation.
We work in full PPE with containment protocols designed for the specific contaminant type β coordinating with industrial hygienists and environmental consultants as required.
Call (636) 330-4324Why Dry Ice
The Advantages
Safer, cleaner, and faster than any traditional industrial cleaning method.
Contained at Source
Removed contamination is captured in the containment zone β not spread by water runoff or airborne abrasive.
No Secondary Waste Streams
COβ sublimates. Only waste is the removed contaminant itself β simpler disposal, lower cost.
Precise Removal
Targeted blasting removes only the contaminated layer, preserving the substrate beneath.
Documentation Ready
Full before/after documentation for regulatory compliance, insurance, and project closeout.
All Contamination Types
Lead paint, PCBs, radioactive surface contamination, chemical residues, and biological contamination.
Full PPE Protocols
Our crews are trained for hazardous material environments and work within required safety frameworks.
Applications

The Process
How It Works
From first call to clean equipment β a clear, efficient process every time.
Hazard Assessment
Contaminant type, concentration, and surface conditions assessed. Safety plan and PPE requirements defined.
Containment & Air Management
Full containment erected with negative air pressure and HEPA filtration before any blasting begins.
Controlled Blasting
Contaminated surfaces treated in controlled passes. All removed material captured within containment zone.
Waste Characterization & Closeout
Removed material sampled, characterized, and packaged for proper disposal. Clearance documentation provided.
